Positive Psychology

1. Sonja Lyubomirsky, Ph.D. (2007). The How of Happiness. New York: The Penguin Press.

I was a little skeptical in reading the beginning this book until I laughed out loud at the accuracy of the "Subjective Happiness Scale" on page 33.

2. Martin E.P. Seligman, Ph.D. (2002). Authentic Happiness: Using The New Positive Psychology To Realize Your Potential For Lasting Fulfillment. New York: The Free Press.

"Confucius, Aristotle, Aquinas, the Bushido samurai code, the Bhagavad-Gita ... all of these codes include six core values: Wisdom and Knowledge, Courage, Love and humanity, Justice, Temperance, Spirituality and Transcendence." (p. 11)
